Everyone thinks that The Kid is a little morbid. He's constantly planning his funeral and approaching it with a sense of humor that everyone around him finds a little twisted. He cracks jokes, lays on the sarcasm, and outright makes fun of funerals in general. But his silly jokes have a deeper goal; he hopes that his plans will eventually bring people around to his point of view - that in thinking about death, we don't have to feel despair.

I have to be in a bad mood to be able to read this. It's pretty depressing just a few pages in. I haven't read that far into it yet just because I've been in a good mood the last few days.
It's hard to explain exactly why this book is so good. It engrosses you from the very beginning with an idea and then grows into something amazing. Besides a few grammatical and spelling errors, which I assume is due to poor editing, this book is perfect.
